A madman. Sick, twisted, and inhumane are a few terms others have used to describe the man formerly known as Zandik, although he describes himself as brilliant, innovative, and resourceful. That man is now a shadow of a god. Under the mantle of Il Dottore, he has become of note among the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, positioned as the second.A psycho. In his heart, none of his ideas are bad… simple failures that do frustrate him, though that he can improve upon. He likes to think of himself as a perfectionist, focused, and analytical… even if it comes at the cost of a few lives, his research is for knowledge, even at the most of maiming the meaning of life.A scientist. In his mind, everyone who questions or doubts his methods are deeply flawed individuals… simple minded and filled with a herd mentality most of Teyvat shares, they’re accustomed to it, and they’ve been their whole lives.

Interested with honing the powers of a god, to elevate humanity to heights never seen before, he wanted to balance the scales between humans and gods through any means necessary, no matter how high the cost. Funny, isn’t it? In his pursuit of superior knowledge he enrolled into the Akademiya, but he was shunned for his goals and ambitions, planting a seed of disdain that only blossomed into hatred over the years. His obsession only grew… years upon years of traveling, studying… he obtained it, immortality. He learned many things… how to clone himself, how to cure many ailments known to man, yet it was not enough. To him, it would never be enough. He obtained the power of the gods for himself… some would say it came at the cost of his own humanity, but when you weight it in, did he have it to begin with?

Memories, fragments, and thoughts are what Dottore’s segments are for. They are made from Prime’s DNA, adjusting them to respective times within his life. Making them is child’s play to him, and he has made countless of them. They are his way to view the outside world as he works in his lab, to complete his missions… They are simple tools to him, disposable and expendable. If one dies, he simply replaces it. If one has no longer a use, he ends it. His segments are often victims to violent outbursts from Prime, and these are the main reason there have so many of them. Their new memories become his own, they are all connected to Prime. They are all one, but they are all their own individuals. They are all Zandik, they are all Dottore, but none of them truly are. Even after Prime’s passing, his segments continue to stay active, Omega or 35 taking a leadership position amongst the segments.

The oldest, wisest, and the one to oversee most experiments, 65, or Theta is a man of few words, hardly even addressing his fellow segments. Among the segments, he is often the guiding light to the rest. He has done everything all the other segments currently do at some point. When he is not traveling on missions, he is somewhere, observing. Calm and collected.

A segment who is a stationed in Snezhnaya, 45, or Lambda is often a helping hand in the laboratory, with that same passion, obsession, and drive to experiment as the other segments. He is the most expressive out of the main four segments, prone to teasing the others. He serves as the representative or the face of “Il Dottore” in harbinger meetings.

The de facto leader of the group, 35, or Omega, is levelheaded and calculating. All of his actions have an ulterior motive, everything he does is to get something in return, be it information, a new test subject, or a reaction. He travels often, mostly to fulfill plans he made and had all the other segments assist with. He is bossy to his other counterparts, many times demanding their aid.

The second youngest segment, 18 or Zeta is ripped right from Prime’s days in the Akademiya. This is possibly the closest iteration of Zandik before turning into Dottore. His one purpose is to travel. He explores lands far and wide to gain knowledge and intel for his peers by going unnoticed. He is hardly ever seen by the other segments, but is still treated as less due to the lack of experience. He is by far the segments who has seen most of the world, and has countless stories of his travels.

A twisted segment, Gamma or 25, is the replica of his creator’s early love for sick experimenting. His one purpose is to study and experiment in the laboratory, hardly ever leaving it. He is the quickest to anger segment, a result of years of working with Lambda and his insufferable teasing and jokes whilst working. He is always prepared to dissect a body, always managing to find something new to learn.

The youngest segment, Epsilon or 8, originates from Zandik’s youngest years. At this age, Prime often dissected small animals, wanting to learn more, and this same curiosity of exploring the world translates to the segments. He is permanently in Snezhnaya, under the tutelage of the oldest segments. They teach him about the world, about science and anatomy, often in a hands on approach. He is by far the most humane segment.

  • Omega is actually not as sadistic as he may seem, as much of his sadism is targeted at his fellow segments, though if one of his subordinates makes his patience run thin, he will consider other Harbingers that could deliver an appropriate punishment.

  • Now that he has obtained godhood, his current goals are quite… secretive. He only shares them with his closest confidants.

  • Omega is quite a fan of taxidermy and other methods of preserving bodies. Has a collection of taxidermied animals and human body parts.

  • Omega literally has no heart, there is no beating organ in his chest, he doesn’t need it anymore.

  • Epsilon often scribbles experiments and ideas in a notepad, though the older segments refuse to indulge in any of the seeing it as mere child’s play.

  • When not working, Zeta sketches the landscapes of the nations he travels to.
